Position: Business Development Manager

•    Salary: £39,000-£45,000 per year

Skills and Qualifications required:

  1. Proven experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally within the travel, tourism or hospitality sectors.

  2. Strong knowledge of the Chinese tourism market and cultural nuances.

  3. Native or fluent Mandarin speaker; fluent in English (written and spoken).

  4. Experience working with Mandarin-language social media and marketing platforms (e.g. WeChat, Xiaohongshu/Redbook).

  5. Commercial negotiation experience and an understanding of pricing, commission, and margin management.

  6. High-level communication and relationship-building skills.

  7. Ability to work independently and manage multiple partner relationships simultaneously.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Business Development Manager to lead our business and support our expansion into the UK and European travel markets.

Main Duties:

  1. Identify, engage, and negotiate with new Chinese business partners and travel agencies to secure long-term service contracts.

  2. Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and satisfaction.

  3. Analyse market trends in Chinese inbound tourism and adjust offerings accordingly to meet demand and remain competitive.

  4. Manage B2B and B2C sales activities, including pricing strategy, client presentations, and product positioning in the Chinese market.

  5. Lead commercial negotiations and draft tailored travel proposals for group and individual travel clients.

  6. Coordinate with internal staff and third-party providers (hotels, transport companies, tour guides) to ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations.

  7. Represent the company at trade shows, tourism expos, and online promotional campaigns (including platforms like WeChat, Redbook, Mafengwo).

  8. Oversee digital marketing campaigns targeting Chinese consumers and travel agencies.

  9. Develop and monitor performance metrics, reporting directly to the Board on client acquisition, revenue targets, and ROI.

Train junior staff or interns in sales, cultural communication, and business protocol when working with Chinese partners

Position: Mandarin-speaking Business Support Officer

•     Salary: £33,500 per year
•    Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 – 18:00
•    Location: London

Skills and Qualifications required:

• Fluent in Mandarin and English (written and spoken)
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Professional customer service and communication
• Digital proficiency (Microsoft Office; WeChat/Xiaohongshu)
• Team player with initiative and flexibility
• Knowledge of travel/tourism and UK geography (preferred)
• Degree in Business, Tourism, or related field (desirable)
• Experience in administration or client coordination essential
